The California Earned Income Tax Credit is a cash-back tax credit that puts money back into the pockets of California’s working families and individuals, including the self-employed!
The amount of your cash-back tax credit depends on a few things like your income and the size of your family. If you earned $22,322 or less in 2017 and are a Citizens or Legal Permanent Resident, you may qualify for the CalEITC. If you earned $53,930 or less in 2017, you may qualify for the federal EITC. Qualifying income includes wages, salaries, tips, and self-reported income.
